Job Summary

The Program Buyer will play a crucial role in supporting the coordination between the Purchasing function and platform teams (engineering / manufacturing / supply chain) for the development and serial production of vehicles at Stellantis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and Control Engineering Design Changes
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to negotiate and control the impact of engineering design changes during development, focusing on economic negotiations and timing.
  • Negotiate Volume Increases
    • Negotiate potential volume increases during development, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Finalize Start of Production Price Release
    • Lead the finalization of the Start of Production price release, including project changes notices, to ensure accurate pricing and cost control.
  • Optimize Total Production Cost (TPC)
    • Set up initiatives to optimize Total Production Cost (TPC) for the dedicated perimeter, driving cost savings and efficiency.
  • Supplier Management
    • Alert the Project/Program Purchasing Manager in case of supplier failure or risks, ensuring prompt action and mitigation.
    • Support Supplier Quality teams to meet capacity and quality convergence targets, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Leadership and Communication
    • Lead summary meetings with suppliers and key internal stakeholders, fostering open communication and collaboration.
    • Work with cross-functional specialty teams to manage negotiations, driving successful outcomes.
Deliverables
  • Achieve Total Production Cost Targets
    • Ensure the achievement of Total Production Cost targets, driving cost savings and efficiency.
  • Negotiate Quality Cost Technical Performance Terms
    • Negotiate quality cost technical performance terms and engineering changes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Guarantee Supplier Tool Kick-off
    • Guarantee the supplier tool kick-off, ensuring timely and efficient implementation.
  • Achieve Final Price Targets
    • Achieve the final price targets according to project needs, ensuring accurate pricing and cost control.
  • Monitor Prices and Supplier Capacities
    • Monitor prices and supplier capacities during the development phase, ensuring proactive management and mitigation of risks.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management, IT, or related fields.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing or other disciplines that require significant negotiation and/or exposure to sourcing/project management processes.
  • Skills
    • Ability to demonstrate past results achievement and leadership skills while working in cross-functional teams.
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
    • Ability to lead and take ownership of projects.
    • Ability to adapt to urgent requests.
