We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at TE Connectivity Corporation.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and qualifying tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards. You will also document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, and initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost, and cycle time.

You will work closely with Product Development to optimize designs and piece parts for manufacturability, and support them in realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in packaging design, validation, and improvement within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, cost reduction, and packaging process optimization projects.

Tech Skills:

  • Familiarity with automotive packaging standards (AIAG, ISTA, ASTM, ISO).
  • CAD design software proficiency (ZWCAD / AutoCAD, CREO / SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD, etc.).
  • Lab testing experience for packaging validation (drop test, vibration, compression, humidity).
  • Knowledge of packaging materials (corrugated, foams, plastics, metals, returnables).
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma expertise (Green Belt or Black Belt certification desired).
  • Cost management and packaging profitability analysis.
  • Awareness of environmental regulations and reverse logistics.
