About the Role

ZF is a global technology company seeking a talented Senior Program Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing purchasing activities related to defined programs, ensuring cost savings and supplier competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Bill of Material costs for programs or sets of parts, developing cost-saving methods and opportunities to promote business unit productivity and supplier competitiveness.
  • Prepare and support commodity teams for contract and sourcing negotiations, analyzing the North American supply base to recommend suppliers for the approved supplier list.
  • Perform market research and monitor changes/trends for benchmarking and cost controlling, developing part family strategies in concert with commodity strategies.
  • Manage the supply base, investigating optimal suppliers for materials and tracking costs and statuses of negotiations while maintaining agreements with suppliers.
  • Explore methods/materials for total cost management and cost structure analysis, updating tracking tools according to industry best practices and company policy.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs to promote team efforts, maintaining professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, formal training, and professional publications.
Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement principles, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
