Automation Specialist

This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and leading project-engineering programs to ensure the automated equipment operates in good condition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated control devices and technologies, as well as experience with Microsoft Windows-based software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to control devices and prevent malfunctions or delays.
• Maintain and solve problems with all equipment in the plant, including PLCs, robots, drives, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Support manufacturing improvement through KOS and promote a safe work environment.
• Design and build small machines to improve production work and reduce Takt Time.
• Advise and/or respond to automation problems on a 24-hour basis as needed.
• Perform assignments established by the supervisor to maintain plant equipment in good operating conditions.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree preferred.
• Two years' work experience in manufacturing operation preferred.
• Broad knowledge in automated control devices and technologies preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based software applications preferred.
