R&D Product Developer Jr

We are PepsiCo, a leading food and beverage company with a rich history of innovation and commitment to excellence. As a R&D Product Developer Jr, you will play a key role in driving product innovation and development, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring new and exciting products to market.
As a member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of our portfolio in Mexico, including innovation projects, business continuity plans, productivity initiatives, and brand stewardship. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including R&D Regional and Global teams, Nutrition, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Finance, as well as external vendors and partners.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing laboratory and pilot plant prototyping, experimental reports, ingredients screening, consumer and sensory trials coordination, and support logistics for scale-up at PepsiCo's Plants for Business Continuity Plan, Productivity, Portfolio Transformation, and Brand Stewardship projects.
- Ensuring adherence to all regulatory, legal, and company standards, including Nutritional Requirements, Sustainability, Food Safety, and external and local frameworks.
- Working closely with Procurement, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and vendors to ensure cost impact initiatives are aligned and effective.
- Overseeing the end-to-end spec writing process, including supplier technical questionnaire collection, ingredient testing, spec quality parameter validation, supplier alignment, and workflow tracking.
- Supporting the R&D Team in attaining short-term and long-term goals.
- Providing first-line support to the manufacturing team and responding to contingencies by ensuring accurate technical analysis to enable short-term solutions for business continuity.
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in Food Science or a related discipline. You should have a strong understanding of product development, innovation, and project management principles. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
