Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Expert to join our team at Univar Solutions Mexico.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and maintaining indirect procurement initiatives that meet Univar Solutions Indirect Procurement objectives as directed by the Indirect Procurement Category Managers (IPCM).

This role will be instrumental in collaborating with all functional areas in the organization to ensure sourcing initiatives and programs yield the expected results, suppliers and vendors perform at the agreed levels, and ensures business continuity.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead indirect procurement sourcing and cost reduction activities.
  2. Monitor and improve agreement utilization and reporting.
  3. Support and lead strategic sourcing events and negotiations.
  4. Review and negotiate contracts and agreements.
Requirements
  • At least five years of working experience in procurement/sourcing for Corporate Services categories (HR, Marketing, Finance, Professional services) at an analyst or professional level.
  • Practical work experience in vendor management.
  • Proficiency in vendor negotiation and purchasing skills.
  • Solid knowledge and real-world experience using Strategic Sourcing methodology.
