Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automated Testing Specialist to join our team at Altair Engineering. As an Intermediate HIL Tester, you will play a crucial role in supporting our automated testing initiative in HiL, using Teststand, Veristand, and National Instruments tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily regression test runs, review results, and confirm final automated results
  • Test analysis of programs and sequences of new electric cars, looking for and solving issues with the root causes
  • Support improvement assignments to accelerate test execution, reduce HiL Test setup timing, and increase automation rates

Requirements:

  • Knowledge in Cloud or Vehicle communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, IP, MQTT, LIN)
  • Experience with CAN/LIN Tools (Vector, Intrepid, etc.)
  • NI HiL Tools (TestStand, VeriStand) and Matlab/Simulink Simulation experience
  • Testing Techniques and Agile/Scrum testing methodologies
  • Test Bench/HW SW troubleshooting and knowledge in requirements management tools (Polarion, JIRA, VSEM, Doors)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on Infotainment, Connectivity, or Driver information testing
  • Basic understanding of the V model process
  • Python experience and ISTQB certification
