Plant Manager Job Description

As a seasoned Plant Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a manufacturing facility, driving efficiency, quality, and productivity. Your strategic vision and leadership skills will be instrumental in implementing process improvements, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and promoting employee development and engagement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Resource Management: Optimize resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure seamless operations and minimal disruption.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a current plant management role.
  • Skills: Extensive experience with plastic injection molding processes, proven track record of managing plant transfers or brownfield/greenfield projects, and proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
