Job Summary:

Ingredion Global Business Services, S.A. de C.V. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst - LATAM to join our team. As a key member of our collections team, you will be responsible for managing the LATAM SSC's accounts receivable process by performing timely and effective collections activities of past due accounts to meet departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, investigate, and post payment data for LATAM customers through SAP software against open items on customer accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and reconcile customer accounts in a timely manner.
  • Execute all cash applications of LATAM customer accounts in SAP, ensuring accuracy to avoid demurrage from entry mistakes.
  • Investigate deductions/overpayments on LATAM customer accounts and reconcile with internal/external customers for timely resolution.
  • Follow up on exceptions and invoice delivery, updating any operational changes requested by customers.
  • Participate in a training rotation for responsibilities within the collection cells (Cash Collections, Cash Apps, Reconciliation, and Exceptions/Invoices Deliveries).
  • Handle special projects assigned by the Collection Manager.

Requirements:

  • College Degree in Business, Accounting, or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years' experience in collections, deduction management, or cash application of accounts required.
  • Working knowledge of A/R and collection department operations.
  • Process-oriented with attention to detail and follow-up; accurate and proficient data entry skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proven record of initiative.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers and sales professionals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • High multitasking proficiency.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; Brazilian Portuguese (mandatory).
