About the Role

We're looking for a results-driven professional with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility and 3 years of experience coordinating launch projects. As a Product Launch Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing launch projects for new products until End-of-Life (EOL). This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for new launch projects on assigned areas.
  • Supports recurring meetings to track project progress.
  • Performs project management activities such as planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Interacts with Quality, Production, Materials, Planning, Maintenance, project management, AME, and Design departments.
  • Leader of the launch process in all phases.
  • Validates BOM integrity of launch products.
  • Requests, analyzes, and coordinates engineering changes when required.
  • Performs internal/external deviations when required.
  • Responsible for quotes of new products.
  • SUPPORTS deliverables of the launch project: PFMEA, Control plan, consumables.
  • Reviews process specifications with design staff to ensure compatibility with design objectives.
  • Coordinates root cause problemsolving analysis for new launch projects.
  • Responsible of Raw Material validation for new launch.
  • Requests and coordinates new equipment or technologies to AME support function.
  • Works closely with multi-disciplinary teams to design, launch, and develop new products.
  • SUPPORTS cost justifications and ROI for Launch projects.
  • Assists with first article component inspection and approval.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings (schematics).
  • Represents customer needs in internal functions according to Quality System and Customer Specific Requirements.
  • Participates and provides support related with environmental, Health and Safety objectives, targets and programs.
  • Has authority to stop a process or activity or give coaching if detects unsafe or acts conditions, that could put at risk the integrity and health of a worker and environment, in coordination with Production Supervisor.

  • Engineering Professional (Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronic, etc.).
  • 5 years' experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • 3 years of experience coordinating Launch projects.
  • English required advanced (Reading and Writing, which allows fluid presentations of projects and/or participation in negotiation processes).
  • Computer knowledge: Advanced (Office, drawing software, SAP, MS project).
  • Knowledge of cost engineering.
  • Deep Knowledge of PFMEA, BOM, Engineering Changes and documentation control.
  • Ability to understand mechanical drawings for parts and assemblies.
  • Certifications: Green belt desired.
  • Project administration training desired.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
