Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Jabil Circuit. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex analyses and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products to ensure quality standards and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the performance of inspectors and implement corrective action when necessary.
  • Train new inspectors and department personnel on policies, procedures, inspection techniques, and quality plans.
  • Ensure that gauges are within the current calibration cycle and are properly used and stored.
  • Participate in design of experiments and process capability studies.
  • Review Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and maintain the integrity of SPC data by correcting input errors and retraining inspectors as needed.
  • Work with QA supervisors or managers to maintain and update control limits in SPC files and create new SPC files as needed.
  • Participate in mold qualification/validation processes.
  • Review production records for conformance to procedures.
  • Analyze data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards.
  • Recommend modifications to existing or suggest new standards, methods, and procedures.
  • Conduct start-ups in accordance with inspection criteria.
  • Troubleshoot recurring defects and quality problems.
  • Recommend disposition, modification, and corrective actions for recurring or non-recurring discrepancies.
  • Audit, maintain, and generate accurate quality records, logs, and reports.
  • Ensure documentation and procedures are in compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Work with all QA and Manufacturing personnel to achieve regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain files for batch history records (BHR) and review BHRs for completeness and accuracy.
  • Fill out lot history closeout/Batch Release form and work with shipping to complete necessary information on Certificates of Compliance/analysis for product shipments.
  • Assist Quality Engineers in the use of statistical tools in the workcell.
  • Assist Quality Engineers with Corrective and Preventive Actions.
  • Ensure capability studies are performed on critical processes.
  • Perform first article inspection, review visual aids, and make updates to inspection visual aids.
  • Perform defect analysis reporting.
  • Perform line, process, and product audits.
  • Assist Quality Engineering in APQP.
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
