Geographic Communications Specialist

As a Geographic Communications Specialist, you'll play a critical role in developing and implementing multi-channel internal and external communications plans that protect, build, and drive Dow's reputation and brand with key stakeholder groups in a country or at a site.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Develop and implement targeted integrated communication plans supporting corporate business priorities as well as countries of the North Region and site-specific objectives.
  2. Develop and update key messaging, speeches, and presentations.
  3. Coordinate and prepare meetings, briefings, and communication sessions.
  4. Lead communication campaigns for employees.
  5. Support the organization of corporate events.
  6. Implement local CSR programs and related communications activities.
  7. Support and implement community outreach programs for the countries of the North Region and manage the communications flow with the volunteers, non-profit partners, and the community.
  8. Support local media relations outreach, prepares briefings, develops key messages, and shapes talking points.
  9. Ensure social media is an integrated part of the communications approach.

**Requirements:**

  1. Bachelor's degree in communication sciences, public relations, journalism, marketing, digital marketing, or related.
  2. At least 3-5 years of experience in the area of communication and public relations in a company.
  3. Strong written communication and speaking skills; proficient in English writing and speaking.
  4. Writing skills are essential.
  5. Understanding and knowledge of modern communications technologies.
  6. Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  7. Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  8. Proactive and self-motivated to deliver at a high level of excellence with ever-increasing demands.
