Job Overview

Clinical Project Leads play a vital role in the delivery of clinical trials, collaborating with clinical teams to accelerate the development of new drugs. As an integral part of the core project team, this role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of clinical studies in accordance with contractual requirements, SOPs, policies, and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in bid defense presentations and lead presentations for smaller, less complex regional studies.
  • Manage the delivery and execution of smaller, less complex, regional studies.
  • Develop integrated study management plans with the core project team.
  • Oversee the execution of clinical studies, ensuring speed, quality, and cost optimization while maintaining compliance with standard processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Set objectives for the core project team and/or sub-team(s) according to agreed-upon contracts, strategies, and approaches.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups within the company to support milestone achievement and manage study issues and obstacles.
  • Monitor progress against contract and prepare/present project and/or sub-team information to stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Manage risk and contingencies proactively and lead problem-solving and resolution efforts.
  • Achieve project quality by identifying quality risks and issues, responding to issues raised by project team and/or sub-team members, and planning/implementing corrective and preventative action plans.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
  • Build and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring overall project delivery and supporting milestone achievement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
  • 5 years of prior relevant experience, including > 1 year of project management experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of clinical trials, including clinical trial conduct, and the ability to apply applicable clinical research regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a good command of the English language.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions and drive results.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to organize resources, set objectives, and provide clear direction to others.
  • Ability to handle conflicting priorities and maintain attention to detail and accuracy in work.
