This role is a vital member of the Global Operations and Supply Chain (GOSC) FP&A team, providing support to our manufacturing sites. The position will collaborate with GOSC functional finance leadership, global manufacturing FP&A, and corporate consolidations teams to ensure that GOSC FP&A processes, timelines, reporting, and analysis align with our business objectives.

This position is crucial for fulfilling our financial commitments and consistently driving enhancements, standardization, and efficiencies within our FP&A processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with the GOSC FP&A consolidations lead to report, analyze, forecast, and communicate our GOSC financial performance.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Conducts and evaluates financial modeling, economic research, and trend analysis on subjects such as return rates, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, and cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning, and expense comparisons through the analysis of profit and loss statements and/or income statements. Prepares comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations, consolidates financial plans, and provides insights to management. Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems, considering aspects such as information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis. May provide analysis on business development and monitor business performance by unit, division, or group.

Strategic Financial Leadership

· Maintain a comprehensive understanding of total GOSC performance, interdependencies of key financial metrics, and how operational performance translates to financial outcomes.

· Collaborate with functional finance, Global Manufacturing FP&A, and corporate consolidations teams to develop processes, analyses, and presentation content that animate and influence our financial performance.

· Operate independently as a seasoned individual contributor working under limited supervision to determine and develop approaches to solutions. You will mentor, coach, and review the work of peers and cross-functional partners.

· Support and manage projects/processes that support GOSC and key stakeholders.

Functional Excellence and Business Partnering

· Assist in the preparation and presentation of GOSC analysis, KPIs, financial performance commentary, and forecasting to various levels of management.

· Engage proactively with stakeholders in analyzing trends and anomalies in results.

· Collaborate cross-functionally in preparing the AOP and quarterly forecasts to ensure cost-down targets, strategic initiatives, and financial metric interdependencies are clearly understood and consistently applied.

· Enhance processes, systems, and tools to improve the performance of our team and the broader GOSC.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Nice to Have

· Strong financial analysis and accounting skills.

· Team player in a matrix structure with strong communication and presentation skills.

· Experience supporting Manufacturing and familiarity with cost accounting principles.

· Experience with business intelligence and reporting systems is advantageous.

· Global experience in large, complex, matrix organizations.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills for generating actionable insights and analysis.

· Familiarity with Medtronic financial systems: SAP, Essbase/Hyperion & Business Objects.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

· Fluent in English and Spanish.
