Position Summary:

This role involves leading a team focused on the development and execution of enhanced plant operations, which encompasses production and manufacturing, maintenance, engineering support, safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the training and development of teams to achieve business goals and support plant operations.
  • Overseeing tool design, assembly, manufacturing processes, cost estimation, systems planning, and layout standards.
  • Managing capital projects aimed at process improvements and enhancing customer satisfaction, including conducting research and securing necessary approvals.
  • Coordinating the installation of new machinery and equipment, as well as process modifications to optimize the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of quality part production.

Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean principles and their integration into production processes.

  • Utilizes tools and techniques for lean assessments.

Manufacturing Systems: Understanding of databases and applications used in manufacturing; ability to operate and maintain these systems.

  • Maintains and utilizes information stored in specific applications.
  • Documents system interfaces and dependencies.

Manufacturing Equipment: Knowledge of equipment used in manufacturing and the ability to operate and maintain it safely.

  • Describes vendor and staff responsibilities.
  • Lists routine maintenance tasks.

Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with product manufacturing methods and the ability to manage the entire manufacturing process.

  • Documents relevant standards and practices.
  • Researches new technologies for integration into processes.

Safety in Manufacturing: Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to identify and mitigate hazards.

  • Conducts inspections to identify safety violations.
  • Utilizes personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Information:

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Black Belt Certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Work schedule includes Monday to Saturday.
