Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Job Description

This role is responsible for executing strategic sourcing activities across all aspects of Ge Vernova's Professional Services spend. The goal is to achieve significant initial cost reductions and year-over-year continuous improvement while maintaining or improving supplier quality and service levels.

The ideal candidate will set the strategy, coordinate efforts and policy, and execute initiatives involving vendor management, performance monitoring, demand management, and governance/compliance. This includes Commodity Strategy, MSA and SOW Negotiation ownership related to the Professional Service categories.

You'll work closely with Global Category Managers and GE stakeholders in Business Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to identify sourcing needs, determine vendor and demand management strategies, execute sourcing events, and drive organizational processes and compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with company goals.
  • Drive activities related to Ge Vernova's transition by working with BUs to clarify roles and responsibilities, standardize processes and tools, and identify/drive strategic synergies across regions and BUs.
  • Secure TCO reductions across category through negotiation and partnership with dedicated providers.
  • Negotiate with suppliers according to specific policies to achieve the best contractual conditions while ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
  • Drive value through supplier relationship management, focusing on long-term partnerships.
  • Measure and track internal performance metrics to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end Sourcing process, from strategy to contract creation, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with Vendor Management Office to monitor strategy implementation and ensure benefit realization.
  • Utilize an understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
  • Develop expertise within the function by growing reputation, providing thought leadership, influencing policy, and ensuring delivery within own function while linking with other functions of the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to multi-functional stakeholder teams to design and implement specific strategic sourcing initiatives to meet business requirements and priorities.
  • Partner with other functions to ensure all commercial requirements capture desired cost, performance, service, and business outcomes.
  • Lead and manage multi-functional stakeholder teams on specific strategic sourcing initiatives or projects.
  • Drive best practices and uphold internal and external policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Implement Lean methodology across all levels, including Standard Work, Daily Management, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizens.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge or experience from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum significant experience in Sourcing, Operations, or equivalent consulting experience related to Finance or other professional services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational, process, and culture change.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence in a matrixed organization.

Desired Characteristics:

  • MBA or Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge or experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management.
  • Category Management (Professional Services), Contract Management, and Sourcing experience in a multi-national company.
  • Track record of driving step-change improvement in Sourcing or similar function.
  • Strong analytical skills, including spend analytics, should-cost analysis, market R&I.
  • Strong experience in Procurement processes and system integration projects.
  • Sourcing or Analytics experience in a multinational company.
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and influencing skills at all levels of the organization as well as with external organizations.
  • Demonstrated customer focus, building strong relationships and evaluating decisions through the eyes of the customer.
  • Change oriented, actively generating process improvements and championing change initiatives.
  • Comfortable with a broad range of research tools and technologies, analytics, and financial analysis.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Thought leader, experience with external benchmarking to drive next-level process improvements.
