Automotive Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. in The Riviera Maya EDITION at Kanai, Mexico. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical systems, performing routine maintenance tasks, and providing exceptional service to our guests.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on hotel equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and repair
• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
• Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify potential problems
• Operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs as needed
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as necessary
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs
• Display knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other systems
• Perform basic repairs on equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work
• Assist with repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and external sprinkler systems

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
• Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the hotel
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
