Sustainability Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Consultant to join our team in Monterrey, Mexico. As a key member of our Sustainability Consulting team, you will be responsible for helping clients design and implement responsible sourcing programs, due diligence, and sustainability/ESG strategies in their supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior staff on the delivery of consulting engagements and project management by engaging with clients, conducting research, information analysis, and synthesis to address client needs.
• Contribute to written client deliverables, including reports and presentations.
• Communicate and present deliverables to clients.
• Support product and service development by innovating and enhancing existing products, processes, and ways of working to accelerate efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Contribute to business development by supporting proposals, networking, and profiling LRQA to secure new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in sustainability and/or responsible sourcing strategy.
• Advanced knowledge of the sustainability business environment and regulatory trends and standards.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Effective communication, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Able to work in Spanish and English; other languages are a plus.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and process quantitative data.
• Detail-oriented, solutions-oriented, questioning mindset, and problem-solver.
• Emotional intelligence and proven team skills.
• Passionate about social and environmental topics.
• Adept at working virtually and in person, with a strong capacity for self-management, self-support, and learning/skills building.
• Ability to work across different time zones and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing work environment.
