Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at AMETEK. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting prototype, production equipment or custom assembly systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble instruments and components according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Examine parts for defects such as pinholes or chips.
  • Test units to locate defects, measure performance, and verify specified operation.
  • Replace defective components and wiring.
  • Calibrate units according to specifications as required.
  • Enter information on production records, logs, and other report forms.
  • Repair defective units rejected by inspection or test personnel.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity; works quickly and efficiently.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
