Product Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at Flex Ltd in Guadalajara, North Campus. Reporting to the Process Engineering Director, this role involves receiving, analyzing, and customizing technical information from customers to establish manufacturing processes that maintain design and performance integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle product transfer and new product setup
  • Support production by assessing product engineering issues
  • Suggest improvements to processes for improved quality and production yield
  • Solve product-related problems and perform failure analysis
  • Interact with customers and departments on product-related issues
  • Work with design teams to resolve design-related issues
  • Suggest modifications to work instructions, materials, or products for superior quality
  • Analyze customer Bill of Material (BOM) and structure definition for production
  • Review functional product documentation
  • Identify safety requirements and regulations compliance
  • Interpret engineering drawings and request customer corrections
  • Lead engineering changes implementation
  • Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tolerance analysis, and Design of Experiment (DOE)
  • Provide support to supply chain for part integration
  • Provide product training to manufacturing engineers
  • Request and handle golden samples and engineering samples
  • Establish and maintain technical information interchange with customers
  • Analyze customer product parts and assemblies using CAD systems
  • Determine course of action for Product Change Notification (PCN) and Manufacturing Change Order (MCO)
