We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Development Engineer to join our team at the Knorr Bremse Group. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead improvement and development activities with Bendix North America Suppliers, focusing on quality performance and expectations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications, and implement supplier improvement initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between suppliers, group, and plant buyers, plant quality, and engineering, resolving disputes and ensuring effective communication.
- Conduct audits to approve new suppliers, develop products, and ensure product safety.
- Approve Supplier PPAPs and 8Ds.
- Stop production lines when quality issues are identified.
- Support PSA activities and procedures with team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive tier 1 quality.
- Working knowledge of IS9000:2000 and TS16949 standards.
- Sound knowledge of Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) modules, including PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and APQP.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, training, and mentoring skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites.
