Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our team at Polaris Off-Road Vehicles. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating the flow of products through the production cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify and mitigate product shortages, develop and execute recovery plans to ensure timely delivery to customers.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to meet customer needs.
  3. Schedule demand based on product mix and provide accurate lead times to the sales department.
  4. Release manufacturing orders based on material requirements planning (MRP) and coordinate the flow of material throughout the production cycle.
  5. Monitor and adjust production schedules to accommodate revisions, cancellations, or priorities.
  6. Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning and forecasting.
  7. Integrate sales orders with the master schedule and coordinate availability of equipment and staff to meet delivery dates.
  8. Maintain capacity information in ERP/MRP for finished goods items.
  9. Analyze data and collaborate with the Production Planning Supervisor to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies.
  10. Lead departmental S&OP activities, monitor operational supply, and identify any shortages or bottlenecks.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 4 years of professional experience in manufacturing planning.
  3. Applicable APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM certification.
  4. Knowledge and experience with Sales & Operations Planning.
  5. Strong understanding and experience with ERP/MRP systems (AS400, SAP).
  6. English proficiency.
Skills and Knowledge
  1. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power BI, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Ability to work well in a team environment and develop strong business relationships.
  4. Decisive and able to make timely, practical decisions.
Working Conditions

This is a standard office environment with occasional time spent on the manufacturing plant floor, requiring walking and standing as needed.
