Job Summary

Caterpillar is seeking a skilled Human Resources Consultant to provide direction and support to business units in the areas of staffing, employee relations, employee development, employee counseling, training, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide recommendations to senior management on issues concerning employees, recruiting, turnover, or training.
  • Administer development programs, monitor performance evaluation programs, and revise as necessary.
  • Handle employee relations issues, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Conduct organizational effectiveness assessments and recommend programs to address issues.
  • Validate controls in place to mitigate or avoid compliance risks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Certificate in Human Resources and/or Labor Relations preferred.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of organization and ability to assess local and industry examples of acceptable and unacceptable business practices.
  • Decision-making and critical thinking skills, including identifying, obtaining, and organizing relevant data and ideas.
  • Effective communication skills, including making oral presentations and writing reports.
  • Data gathering and reporting skills, including customizing data fields to meet clients' needs.
  • Employee relations skills, including assisting employees with personal or professional problems.
Work Environment

This position is located in Cienega de Flores and requires less than 10% travel. The work schedule is Monday to Friday on site. English language proficiency is required, with intermediate to advanced level preferred. Relocation within the domestic area is available.
