About the Role

Buckman, a global specialty chemical company, is seeking a Logistics & Planning Senior Analyst to join its team in Querétaro, Mexico. As a key member of the organization, you will play a pivotal role in executing Buckman's strategic logistic and planning roadmap.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning and logistics, with experience in managing freight costs, inventory levels, and Perfect Order Results. You will work closely with Sales and Operations teams to achieve excellent delivery levels and drive incremental value in logistics efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, program, and manage chemical material inventory to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to effectively plan deliveries and meet customer expectations.
  • Analyze orders in MRP based on sales forecast, stocks, and parameters to ensure accurate demand planning.
  • Coordinate monthly cycle inventory to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
  • Solve delivery issues and opportunities, strengths, and threats for local and international freights to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Plan purchasing of materials through the ERP system to ensure effective management and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate and manage logistics and storage suppliers to ensure high-quality services and optimal costs.
  • Coordinate and manage distribution of logistics services to achieve the best relationship between cost and quality of service.
  • Coordinate and manage internal logistic services to ensure safety, efficiency, and integrity of goods.
  • Coordinate and manage PL3 warehousing services to align with performance indicators.
  • Build relationships with customers, tollers, distributors, and suppliers as a trusted advisor.
  • Supervise best practices between tollers and warehousing to ensure high-quality services.
  • Manage the level of service given by warehouses and other related suppliers to ensure good quality.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs tracking tools and performance reporting to measure success.
  • Monitor market and industry publications to provide summaries and key insights to leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Planning and Logistics, business, engineering, or other quantitative discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in planning and logistics, with a focus on commercialization of chemical products.
  • Experience in the Chemical Industry, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Advanced English level, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • SAP software experience, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
