Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Die Casting Process Engineer and Strategist to join our team at ZF Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of die casting processes, as well as the management of technical projects.


Responsibilities
  • Participate in the front-loading process, including simultaneous engineering, high-pressure die casting, and machining component design to process development.
  • Manage technical discussions for new customer projects, providing technological support and aiding in award decisions.
  • Conduct development meetings, technical reviews, and provide technological support for series production of die-cast parts.
  • Introduce extensive tool and component concepts, considering functional, manufacturing, qualitative, and economic aspects.
  • Negotiate with foundries, processing companies, and machine manufacturers under best practice aspects, focusing on quality, supply, and profitability.
  • Control mold management, including tool life monitoring, for all tools owned by ZF.
  • C Coordinate and implement strategic supplier development projects, both nationally and internationally.
  • Participate in part family strategies and aid in solving technology and quality problems.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, or Manufacturing Technology, with several years of experience, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in project management, preferably in the areas of management, production, technology planning, technology development, industrialization, and supplier development.
  • Specific knowledge in melting, foundry, mold making, and downstream processes, as well as machining processing, fixture construction, and washing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in an international environment.
  • Solid analytical thinking skills and the ability to act independently.
  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving methods and proficiency in SAP and Axalant or comparable ERP systems.
