Job Summary

The Sebel Sydney Chatswood is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings throughout the hotel to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action.
• Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way.
• Undertake general repairs and maintenance as well as preventative maintenance programs throughout the Hotel.
• Perform pool maintenance including use of chemicals and water treatment.
• Service plant and general equipment as directed.
• Ensure all painted areas are maintained and in good order.
• Perform duties relevant to experience and trade as applicable and perform other maintenance-related tasks as required.

Requirements

• Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in a similar role or the ability to demonstrate skills required to be successful in this role.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• The ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Relevant trade qualification is an asset.
