About the Role

e.l.f. Beauty is a leading clean beauty company that stands for innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to lead our skincare innovation and quality improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute product development pipelines for skincare innovation and quality improvement programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project execution.
  2. Lead the complete formula development cycle from concept to launch, focusing on clinically proven key ingredients.
  3. Manage the process of providing formula submissions to internal and external partners, tracking evaluations, and communicating feedback to the team and 3rd party contract manufacturers.
  4. Lead formula status updates in bi-weekly product development/operations meetings.
  5. Organize and lead bi-weekly R&D meetings, preparing agendas and recording detailed notes.
  6. Manage vendor communications and requests.
  7. Communicate internally with cross-functional team members regarding marketing, regulatory, operations, packaging, and creative.
  8. Manage and execute safety and clinical testing samples, ensuring their receipt to third-party testing facilities, and working to ensure study start dates, study execution, and receipt of final reports.
  9. Prioritize and manage multiple assignments/research projects concurrently.
  10. Manage production and lab standards, bulk approvals for newness/innovation, and ongoing business.
  11. Manage internal documents, spreadsheets, and maintain up-to-date information.
  12. Oversee and track project milestones and ensure deadlines are met.
  13. Lead the copy development process, helping to create master copy worksheets.
  14. Lead trend reports, market research, ingredient innovations, and competitive analysis.
  15. Participate in brainstorms and conception ideation.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Science, or a related field or equivalent degree required.
  2. 6+ years of product development and commercialization experience.
  3. Strong analytical decision-making and creative problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent communication, influencing, project/platform management, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks concurrently and prioritize work for self and others.
  6. Demonstrates humility, determination, and drive to win.
  7. Bias towards action, with speed of decision-making and actions critical, and ability to proactively anticipate and communicate changes.
  8. Hands-on orientation and ability to achieve results through own efforts and directing staff.
  9. Ability to function at a high level in both centralized and decentralized organizations.
  10. High abstract reasoning, comfortable in highly complex situations.

e.l.f. Beauty offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
