About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Stress Engineer to join our team at Collins Aerospace. As a Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting stress, fracture, and fatigue structural analysis of aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis using conventional hand analysis and computer analysis.
- Develop and document structural test efforts to assess structural integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace products.
- Work to design parameters to assess the structural integrity of metallic and non-metallic aerospace component parts.
- Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of basic scope and complexity.
- Use and validate CI tools to solve problems.
Requirements
- Understanding of load paths and various aspects of airframe design using metals and composites.
- Strong technical writing and PC skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must have a current travel visa to enter the USA for training and event attendance purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in EBU & Nacelle components.
- Experience in aircraft structural components static, durability, and damage tolerance analysis.
- Experience of material (Composite & Metallic) or structural testing.
- Engine Build up (EBU) systems experience.
