Markets Researcher

We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to our editorial team as a Markets Analyst. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in direct or transferable areas related to the ferrous and non-ferrous markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and report on the ferrous and non-ferrous markets as assigned
• Sources and indexes ferrous prices, and writes weekly/daily commentaries on pricing trends
• Researches and writes in-depth market reports and analysis
• Follows the Davis Index style guide and best practices in reporting and price sourcing
• Attends industry conferences and events for reporting purposes

Requirements

• The equivalent of a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Fluency in understanding market economics and business reporting style
• 2-3 years of experience as a reporter or writer in a print or online publication, or a demonstrated ability to transfer professional knowledge/experience
• An ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadlines-oriented work environment
• Comfortable with frequent industry interactions
• A deep curiosity about the metals markets
• Strong overall communication skills in English and additional languages relevant for the regions
• Initiative, team work, commitment to excellence, and a desire to grow

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the metals market
• Experience writing financial and business reports
