Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations, providing training and technical advice on safety and environmental protection, and directing and supervising plant commissions and brigades. You will also be responsible for operational maintenance of the ISO 45001 in-plant system, on-floor monitoring of the ISO 45001 system, and investigation of accidents, incidents, and environmental impacts.
In addition, you will be responsible for compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, weekly floor tours and audits, and follow-up of the internal health and safety system, policies, procedures, standards, and legal compliance.
You will also collaborate with global and regional resources to utilize outside expertise and pilot new programs, and drive a high-performing team culture.
About You:
* At least 3 years' experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental
* Education/training in Health, Safety, and Environmental
* Bilingual in Spanish and English required
* Knowledge in SST and PASST
* Internal auditor of the ISO 45001 system
* Familiarity with Industrial safety, risk prevention, in-plant emergencies
* Knowledge in Ergonomics (risk analysis)
* Ability to learn quickly, understand business systems, and adapt to urgent requirements
* Risk analysis knowledge by operation
* Knowledge in SAP
* Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
* Detail-oriented and highly organized
