About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Visualization Engineer to join our team at Levi Strauss & Co. As a key member of our analytics team, you will play a crucial role in developing and deploying data visualization solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain business reports and analytics using SAP Business Objects 4.x and Tableau.
  • Create and maintain BO Universes using UDT and IDT, with a focus on mapping new structures, derived tables, contexts, and list of values.
  • Promote reports and universes to higher-level environments, following change management processes.
  • Maintain BO architecture documentation, administration, upgrade, and patching support.
  • Develop advanced Microsoft SQL scripting skills and experience in developing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Implement security by creating user groups, granting access to BO-based applications, and adding security restrictions based on user profile and user groups.
  • Conduct thorough end-to-end testing of self-developed reports using multiple test cases to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
  • Develop new and maintain existing Tableau dashboards that address business requirements.
  • Use HANA and other database querying tools to connect directly in Tableau and generate powerful, scalable dashboards.
  • Generate powerful data visualizations that tell a story through the dashboard.
  • Create user guides and training material to help users understand how to leverage and use the tools.
  • Design and create visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Connect Power BI to various data sources and configure data refresh schedules for accurate data reporting.
  • Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for improved performance and query efficiency.
  • Able to perform independent analysis of data-related issues and enhancements by analyzing BW Analytics reports in WEBI/Analysis Office and navigating to the source of data inconsistency.
  • Experience with other reporting tools, including SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Analysis for Office (AFO).
  • Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA CDS Views for consumption in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Understanding of SAP S4/HANA embedded analytics capabilities and Fiori.
  • Understanding of SAP Analytics on Cloud products.
  • Optimize solutions to improve performance and scalability.
  • Implement and enforce data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

About You

  • 5-7 years of experience in SAP Business Objects 4.x is a must.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Tableau.
  • Exposure to using Analysis for Office (AFO).
  • Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting.
  • Technical exposure to SAP BW on HANA Modeling is a plus.
  • Exposure to SAP S4/HANA CDS Views for consumption in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodology principles.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent relationship and team-building skills.
  • The ability to work with all levels of staff and leadership.
  • Demonstrated skills in collaborating, persuading, influencing, and negotiating.
  • Ability to self-motivate, adapt, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to deal effectively with challenging situations.
