Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply your expertise in Lean & 5S principles to streamline operations, improve safety, minimize waste, and optimize efficiency across manufacturing processes.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to introduce new technologies and methodologies in our operations to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
  • Lead assessments of existing operational equipment by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to fortify processes and mitigate risk through the implementation of industrial solutions.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to source capital equipment, support contract negotiations, develop acceptance criteria, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Lead and implement simultaneous projects related to manufacturing process improvements, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with NPD teams to ensure new products enforce design for manufacturing standard processes.
  • Provide support to various functions within operations as needed, fostering a multi-functional and collaborative environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related field such as industrial technology. Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of significant experience in a manufacturing environment with focus on new product introductions, equipment development, new technology, and product line transfers.
  • Strong analytical abilities to collect, analyze, and interpret data for informed decision-making and process improvement.
  • Confirmed project management skills with the ability to complete projects successfully.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and solving problems.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Individual must be willing and able to travel as needed up to 25%; a valid passport is required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competence with technology, including PLC programming and integration of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Understanding of systems integration languages like SQL.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience with new product development teams for ensuring successful product launch.
  • Ability to apply statistical analysis tools such as Excel and Minitab.
  • Proficient in Spanish/English.
  • Experience implementing automated assembly processes in a high mix & low volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing SCADA systems to analyze and process industrial data.
  • Experience with various test techniques to measure leak rate, flow rate, hypot, and response time.
  • Understanding of ERP routings and standards.
  • Assembly automation experience.
