Job DescriptionThe Senior Maintenance Operations Director will oversee the maintenance department at our Reynosa, Mexico location, ensuring maximum efficient operations of our machinery and equipment while monitoring safety.
- Maintain machinery, plan repair activities, and develop maintenance procedures.
- Total preventative maintenance, manage breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and robotic/automation equipment.
This role includes:
- Plant, direct, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities.
- Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities to rectify break-downs and malfunctions.
- Develop and implement repair and maintenance procedures.
- Monitor cost-effectiveness and optimize resources.
- Evaluate and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools.
- Select and manage relationships with contractors.
- Liaise with managers to coordinate scheduled maintenance.
- Prepare work orders and monitor progress.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop maintenance staff.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong knowledge and technical understanding of machines and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience in planning maintenance operations.
- Familiarity with fire suppression systems and air conditioning.
- Understanding of lean and six sigma principles and applications.
A successful candidate should exhibit:
- Professional maturity to manage a team and prioritize activities.
- Empathetic leadership skills with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to drive cultural change and collaborate effectively.
- Passion for excellence and delivering business value.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing is required, along with 15+ years of experience in maintenance and management in a manufacturing environment.
