As a Transportation Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing transportation functions, ensuring accurate communication with carriers, and providing excellent customer service to our clients. You will play a critical role in ensuring on-time pick-up, transit, delivery, and emptying of shipments while maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage transportation functions to ensure timely communication with carriers;
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers and team members as needed;
- Identify and address any issues that may arise during the transportation process;
- Collaborate with logistics specialists to schedule appointments and update the Transportation Management System (TMS);
- Communicate effectively with customers and carriers to resolve any service issues;
- Proactively notify shippers and receivers of load status and reschedule pick-up/delivery appointments when necessary;
- Bachelor's degree;
- Advanced Spanish and English written, oral, and presentation communication skills;
- Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate mileage related to time.
- Knowledge of the freight industry;
- Microsoft Excel skills, including VLookup, Pivot Tables, and advanced formulas;
- 1 year of customer service experience.
