Eaton, a leading global technology company, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Process Lead to join their IS AER FED division.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Job Summary:

The Senior Manufacturing Process Lead will be responsible for leading manufacturing activities and providing technical direction and assistance for new and existing products. This includes process design, facility layout, capital equipment, and tooling requirements manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, excellent leadership and teamwork skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement using the Eaton Business System (EBS) and Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine equipment, materials, tooling, methods of manufacture, and facilities required to produce a particular product at the lowest cost consistent with quality specifications.
  • Develop tooling layouts for stamping dies and troubleshoot stamping dies for deep draw type products.
  • Work directly with tool designers and manufacturing engineers to develop new and more efficient dies to replace aging tooling.
  • Conduct research and development investigations to develop and test new fabrication processes and procedures.
  • Prepare technical reports as a result of research and development and preventive maintenance investigations.
  • Analyze statistical data and product/process performance to recommend and implement improvements in targeted areas (FPY from NDT).
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Develop, implement, and audit inspection and test plans, standards, and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications.
  • Develop standardized work instruction, setup procedures, and supporting documentation.
  • Validate and define programs routines and tool & die changeover to obtain first run work piece within specified dimensional tolerances.
  • Define and Coordinate pre-stage of all necessary items for die change.
  • Troubleshoots equipment failures and problems.
  • Monitors press for proper operation and reports any malfunctions or problems to maintenance.
  • Provide continuous training for stamping operators.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Working knowledge of current manufacturing techniques – tooling, metal stamping, assembly, and testing.
  • Working knowledge of production and quality control procedures used in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical, time management, and analysis skills.
  • GD&T / Reads blueprints.
  • Tool design and process development.
  • Experience in CAD programs.
  • Desired Experience in forming simulation software.
  • Must be able to plan and provide input and maintain cost out and budgeting related to transitions and New Product Development.

Preferred Specialized Knowledge:

  • Materials engineering background (desired).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (desired).
  • Understanding of problem-solving methods (Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis) a plus.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact at all levels within and outside the Organization.
