Eaton's IS Filtration division is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join their team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing facilities' preventive maintenance plans, ensuring optimal performance and communicating with management staff for any changes affecting safety, product quality, or operating conditions. They will also be involved in the proper execution of work orders concerning general plant maintenance under safety conditions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing the department structure, including job descriptions, training, performance reviews, and coaching to develop functional experts.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of new methods and procedures related to facilities maintenance to drive improvements, minimize operating costs, and reduce environmental impact.
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of equipment installation standards and the administration of electrical, pneumatic, and thermal power distribution at the facility.
  • Maintaining building standards and ensuring high-quality housekeeping practices.
  • Managing facilities risk assessments, such as FM Global, to ensure critical elements and gaps are closed in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring and measuring programs for Safety, Environment, and Health, aligned with area of management, such as Fall protection, Energy control (Lock out - Tag out), Electrical safety, Confined spaces, etc.
  • Supporting Continuous Improvement Activities, such as Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost-out, and demonstrating improvements in goals year over year in processes or practices aligned to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Participating in MESH Category 8 Process Safety, including Fall protection, Electrical Safety, Confined Spaces, Hot Work, etc.

Requirements:

  • A Technical or Engineering degree in Electromechanical or Mechatronic field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Facilities Technician in the same industry field.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in implementing preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Knowledge of measurement equipment, such as Multimeter, ammeter, megger, Vernier, micrometer, etc.

A competitive salary of approximately $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
