About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Wind Energy Consultant - Engineer to join our team in Mexico. As a key member of our Project Engineering and Due Diligence (PE&DD) team, you will be responsible for enhancing the capabilities and increasing resources of the team, which oversees Technical Due Diligence for project financing and merger and acquisition (M&A) processes and Owner's Engineering and Construction Monitoring services for wind energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Performance of Technical Due Diligence, including assessment of Balance of Plant (civil and electrical infrastructure), wind technology and site suitability assessment, and technical analysis of project contracts.
• Project management of small/medium/large projects (from 5MW to 1000MW), including coordination of a team of specialists to provide top-level technical advisory and deliver high-quality reports.
• Owner's and/or Lender's Engineer (also known as Independent Engineer) during the pre-construction and construction phase of the projects, including technical Due Diligence reports for support Project Financing or M&A decisions.
• Construction monitoring to assess construction progress and control the quality of the work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or economics, with a demonstrated understanding of technical aspects and experience in financing renewable projects.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of previous experience within the renewable energy industry or renewable energy taught course modules.
• Understanding of enforceable norms and regulations within the renewable industry.
• Knowledge of the general energy market, particularly the renewable energy market in Mexico & the Caribbean.
