Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence and Data team. The successful candidate will be based in Mexico and work in a hybrid setting, reporting to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using SQL and AWS 'big data' technologies.
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams, to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to enhance the functionality of our data systems.
  • Support the engineering leadership team in defining the technology roadmap to underpin advanced analytics and data science.
Requirements
  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases, query authoring, and various databases.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
  • Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable data stores.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience of architectures to support advanced analytics and data science.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, PowerBi, and DAX.
  • Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL.
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
  • Experience with AWS/Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with Python, R, and C# would be advantageous.
