About the Role

Polaris Industries is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for the high-level configuration, design, and integration of our Blue Yonder WMS system with both material handling and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Owners, Lead and Software Engineers to understand business and functional requirements
  • Ability to visualize the solution by understanding the problem statement and transforming it into software design and/or configuration of BY WMS, Material Handling, and ERP software
  • Document functional capabilities of BY WMS and Material Handling software and integrations of BY WMS and Material Handling software like Exacta (AutoStore) to other Polaris's systems
  • Coach and Mentor Software Engineers to follow Polaris's standards and incorporate industry best-practices in the applications; guide them in design concepts, technical communication, and development
  • Assist in development of project plans, specification documents, test plans, and install and release plans
  • Assist with analyzing existing homegrown business systems to develop technical designs and specifications, break fixes and enhancements
  • Lead in producing deliverables including configuration/tailoring documents; integrations; and user mock-ups
  • Document test cases and perform systems and acceptance testing
  • Troubleshoot production issues

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills and experience in software development
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience with Blue Yonder WMS system and material handling and ERP systems
