We are seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Manager to lead our continuous improvement efforts and drive business growth at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for improving daily business operations through the introduction of performance assessment measures and effective evaluation methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with functional leaders to develop and implement business improvement initiatives.
- Lead and facilitate the use of lean tools, including standard work, value stream mapping, and error-proofing, within the Practical Process Improvement (PPI) Business System framework.
- Cultivate a workplace culture that values continuous learning and development, and empowers employees to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly savings targets through effective management of continuous improvement projects.
- Provide training and education to employees on continuous improvement tools and thinking to improve efficiency and ensure sustainable processes.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience driving continuous improvement within a lean program.
- BS/BA degree.
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on coaching and influencing others.
- A strong belief in the viability of continuous improvement and the ability to communicate and demonstrate this to others.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Equivalent experience or advanced degree/certification in relevant areas.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience in a regulated industry and familiarity with lean concepts and tools.
