Plexus is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Development Engineer to provide technical direction on test and inspection equipment and support test processes. As a key resource for the Focus Factory (FF) team, this individual will be chartered with the implementation and validation of the test equipment at the site.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and training of Assembly Build Instructions.
- Ensure adherence to global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Lead New Customer/Product Introductions and support test quote requests based on the RFQ process.
- Implement Test Engineering Changes (TECOs) and support test acceptance and yield improvement processes.
- Develop and maintain effective training methods for all FF personnel.
- Support FFs in rationalizing equipment and configuration requirements to meet manufacturing and customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and efficiency.
- Travel may be required to meet business needs (estimated 10%).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Seven (7) years of related experience; Nine (9) or more years of related experience preferred.
- Multi-site or multi-customer experience highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of 21 CFR Part 820 and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma tools a plus.
- Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Maintain strong working relationships with FF personnel, program management, Product Services Engineering group, and process support personnel.
