Job Summary

**Job Title:** Procurement Specialist

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Location:** Mérida, Yuc.

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Balfour & Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring local supplies and services required in our plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and monitor purchase requisitions.
  • Request for competitive quotes and review of the offers.
  • Negotiate the Terms & conditions, focusing on the best price / best quality in the market.
  • Prepare the price comparative statements with multiple offers.
  • Analyze and compare prices and quality, always looking for the best option for the company.
Procurement Process

**Purchase Orders:** Creation of Purchase Orders & release to the suppliers with due approvals.

**Supplier Management:** Follow up with Suppliers on Delivery, Receipt of materials.

**Quality Control:** Material quality feed back from the users & release of the payments.

**Contract Management:** Formulate services agreements/contracts for the regular consumables in the facilities.

**Inventory Management:** Monitoring materials stock in coordination with the facilities.

**Vendor Development:** Implement Vendor development.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required, business administration preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing procurement dealing with engineering MRO items.
  • Procurement Operating systems like BAAN, SAP, AS 400 etc.
  • Microsoft Office, Suite: Word, Excel & PowerPoint expert.
  • Organized, able to work easily with numbers.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, influence skills and negotiation skills.
  • Keen attention to detail & accuracy.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Spoken & Written English language skills (70%).
