We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International, Inc. Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment and tools.
- Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems, and perform basic repairs as needed.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts and materials as required.
- Communicate daily activities and any issues that arise to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
- Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor drywall and wood trim repair as needed.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on various types of equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, as well as external landscaping sprinklers.
- Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment as needed.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
