As an Accounting Specialist in our Financial Reporting team, you will play a critical role in supporting business processes and providing experience with Caterpillar accounting practices.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Accounting Specialist - Financial Reporting. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing entry-level staff accounting functions that support business processes
  • Gaining an understanding of Caterpillar's business and accounting practices, systems, and procedures
  • Providing assistance to project teams or others in the work group

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Compiling and analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Preparing journal entries, financial statements, variance analysis, and account reconciliations
  • Assisting with inventory accounting, standard cost revision, payroll and benefit accounting, intercompany reconciliation, and analysis

You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in various areas, including:

  • Financial accounting and reporting
  • Inventory management and control
  • Payroll and benefits administration
  • Intercompany reconciliation and analysis

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
