Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to play a pivotal role in improving our Automation Platform. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing features for Automation Platform. You will be creating and executing automation scripts along the way. You will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. Your diverse skill set in Node.js development, automation frameworks, and tools is crucial for creating strong automated testing solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in the design and implementation of automation frameworks to support testing initiatives.
  • Providing training and support to team members on automation tools and frameworks.
  • Creating reusable code and collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
  • Developing and deploying scalable applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and optimizing application performance in AWS environments.
  • Ensuring containerized applications are secure, scalable, and easily deployable.
  • Collaborating with QA teams to define test scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Developing automated tests using Playwright for end-to-end testing.
  • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Monitoring test results and identifying areas for improvement in the testing process.
  • Implementing automation best practices to streamline testing efforts and increase efficiency.
  • Identify automation opportunities and actively champion to increase automation coverage/shift left.
  • Exploratory testing, as needed.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of overall experience including Development and Testing.
  • Experience in working LATAM is must, preferably Mexico or Brazil (Must have one of the Locale Skill set).
  • LATAM end user consumer mindset.
  • Experience in ecommerce applications is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on testing experience in manual and automation testing.
  • Proven experience creating test strategies and test plans.
  • Expertise in identifying the scope of automation and driving automation test development.
  • Minimum 3 years of Programming experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as JavaScript (must), Java, Python and must have the tools knowledge (see section below).
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player.
  • Work experience with offshore/nearshore/onshore model a big plus.
  • Experience with Agile methodology is preferred.
  • Experience directly supporting and working with development teams.

Tools Knowledge:

  • Automation tools - Playwright, Selenium
  • Mobile automation testing tools for Android, iOS
  • Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, Github
  • JIRA – Defect tracking and task creation tool
  • Confluence, Share Point Any Test Management tool
  • CI/CD QA automation - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for automation workflows.

Job Circumstances:

  • Be willing to work extended hours as required by the role and be available to occasionally monitor/implement systems out of business hours.
