Job Title: Infrastructure Specialist

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our support team.

Job Summary:

The Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the availability and integrity of ERM's infrastructure, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the smooth transition of acquired companies' IT systems into the ERM environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the availability and integrity of ERM's infrastructure at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive information.
  • Act as an escalation point for internal and external stakeholders regarding infrastructure services.
  • Ensure the smooth transition of acquired companies' IT systems into the ERM environment.
  • Provide technical direction and support to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Participate in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and customers as necessary.
Technical Requirements:
  • Substantial work experience in a technical analytical role responsible for maintaining enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Infrastructure services.
  • Experience with implementing and running IaaS and PaaS solutions with public cloud providers (specifically MS Azure).
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization and Azure virtualization technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Server hardware, including Blade Chassis, rack systems, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Cisco and Meraki networking hardware, OS, and technologies.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of NetApp and Dell storage technologies.
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions and networking technologies.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication, project, and time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure situations.
