Chromalloy is a leading provider of engineering and solutions services. We offer aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions that extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. Our team develops, manufactures, and repairs critical turbine components for various engine platforms, supporting the aerospace, energy, and defense industries worldwide.

As a Senior Cost Accountant at Chromalloy, you will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for the tactical execution of product costing and cost analysis at our Mexicali location. Your duties will include:

  • Partnering with site leadership to ensure effective cost review and drive accountability and understanding while improving cost performance.
  • Reviewing, tracking, and following up on Capital Expenditure spending to create cost justifications for new projects.
  • Tracking submissions and approvals, monitoring spending from start to completion, and closure.
  • Ensuring proper costing and valuation of inventory and reviewing PPV drivers.
  • Providing reports and analysis of actual job costing to help leadership drive improvements.
  • Developing and maintaining a rigorous cycle count program for the site through A, B, C classification and tight statistical performance to reduce full physical requirements.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of cost reporting requirements (Flash, Spend Control, Supply Spend, CHROMM Usage, Past Dues, WFS, Labor Scorecard, CRT, Sales Detail, Qlikview, Budget and Forecast).
  • Supporting month-end close and reconciliation activities as assigned.
  • Conducting ad-hoc cost analysis as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a fast-paced, collaborative administrative support role.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze cost data and provide insight to leadership on improvement opportunities.
  • Decision-making skills and the ability to use sound judgment and challenge assumptions when appropriate.
  • Proven ability to grow and learn in a fast-paced and high-demand environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven flexibility and ability to cope with pressure resulting from changing priorities and meeting tight deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to present complex ideas in a compelling and comprehensive manner.
  • Possess a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling and having access to sensitive information.
  • Strong understanding of both financial and operational processes and controls.
