Job Description:
Job Scope:
Leading a team of Commodity Managers and Buyers, develop, implement, and manage global sourcing strategies and supply for a portfolio of commodities. Achieve year-on-year improvement in total cost, quality, and service while leading regional and global supply management activities including risk mitigation and managing supplier relationships for a portfolio of commodities. Leadership of cross-functional strategic sourcing teams and accountable for execution and implementation of Commodity Sourcing Strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities, using input from the sourcing team and key global/regional stakeholders within the business units.
- Drive implementation of the sourcing strategy for assigned commodities, communicating, monitoring, and aggressively managing business unit compliance of the strategy.
- Lead and drive results of specific strategic sourcing strategies within assigned commodities, managing and influencing a cross-functional team.
- Develop an expertise in the business unit and/or corporate function needs and capabilities for commodities, partnering with business units and functions to understand their goals and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance around quality, delivery, lead time of all suppliers, conducting regular strategic business reviews with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Measure and track performance on Sourcing KPIs within each commodity, responsible for monthly reporting to senior management on key performance indicators within the supply chain.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Typically requires 5+ years of experience working in strategic sourcing or an operations discipline in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
- Travel: 20% (Domestic & International).
- Basic knowledge of commodities (Direct / Indirect, depending on role), supply management practices and analytics.
- People management experience.
