Position Title: IT Infrastructure Project Engineer
Role Overview:
The IT Infrastructure Project Engineer will take charge of deploying IT solutions aimed at facilitating the establishment of a new manufacturing facility for our Hygiene division in North America. This role reports directly to the IS Senior Manager overseeing Americas Factories. The project engineer will assist in the rollout of corporate and plant infrastructure, alongside global, regional, and local IT applications, which encompass ERP, PLM, and manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficient understanding of Infrastructure
- Knowledge of Networking, particularly Cisco
- Familiarity with Manufacturing processes
- Insight into Supply Services
- Overseeing project reporting, planning, issue/risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client relations, and stakeholder engagement
- Preparation of comprehensive project documentation for initiatives of medium to high business complexity, involving multiple system interfaces that are crucial to the organization
- Ensuring reliability and efficiency in business processes
- Leading work streams during CCTV implementation projects
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in risk management to timely identify risks, implement workarounds, and proactively execute risk mitigation strategies
- Capability to prepare project plans from a high-level overview to detailed technical specifications, estimating milestones/activities (effort/duration) and identifying necessary roles/skill sets for each task
- Experience in managing infrastructure projects (including disaster recovery, obsolescence, hardening, security monitoring, IT rooms, Cisco switches, access points, firewalls, etc.)
- Exceptional aptitude for conveying technical decisions and issues to various stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills for documenting, logging, and tracking actions and issues
- A technical background is advantageous (e.g., system engineering, IT operations)
