Job Overview

The role involves providing financial oversight and guidance on designated single-country, single-service projects, ensuring that project financials are diligently monitored and managed to optimize profitability and cash flow.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough monthly evaluations and analyses of assigned projects, focusing on revenue recognition, performance variances, and unbilled/unearned positions.
  • Review and authorize work movements and modifications, along with final revenue adjustments for the assigned projects.
  • Ensure that project journals, write-offs, and financial adjustments are accurately documented, reviewed, and approved.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting for assigned projects, which includes unsigned contract opportunities, backlog, and any additional financial analyses as necessary.
  • Monitor unbilled, write-off activities, and exception reports related to contract activation, addressing any unusual activities promptly.

Financial Management

  • Coordinate the integration of global project budgets into the financial management system, including the collection of non-IQVIA International Pricing (QIP) supported budgets. Review and reconcile loaded project budgets to ensure accuracy against contracted values.
  • Oversee the loading of payment schedules, ensuring accuracy against contracted values and compliance with negotiated terms.
  • Manage the configuration of Project and Contract modules, including the assignment of Rate Sets/Plans to Activities, configuration of Contract Lines, and establishment of Billing/Revenue Limits.
  • Review and monitor rate exception reports, coordinating timely resolutions of rate issues with the Global Project Services Group.
  • Ensure completion of the Project Check-off list throughout the project lifecycle (Activation, Configuration, and Close-out).
  • Monitor monthly compliance reports to guarantee timely reporting of revenue and billing deliverables by Project Managers.
  • Execute project close-out procedures and communicate project status actions to the Global Project Services Support Group.
  • Conduct project-level unbilled/unearned reconciliations as required.
  • Complete assigned Monthly and Quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley reporting obligations.
  • May assume responsibility for specific projects and/or clients.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting or project finance Required, or
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is Required.
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition, variance analysis, unbilled/unearned management, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Peoplesoft Project.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Capacity to exercise judgment within established procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
